To obtain a 529 Shield from Kingston Police headquarters (while supplies last), please pre-register your bike and upload a photo of you with your bike as well as a photo of the bike’s serial number. You do not need to bring your bike to the station. Please bring your smartphone with you to show your proof of registration to the agent. Note that you may experience a wait time during busier periods.

How to Report a Bike Theft

If your bike is missing, it's important to report it to law enforcement - this helps the police better understand the scope of the problem. It will also be necessary for an insurance claim or to collect it from any law enforcement agency that recovers the bike. To report your bike, follow the steps below:

1 Start an alert on your bike/scooter on the 529 Garage website or app.

If you aren't registered yet - register first with all the information that you have about your bike/scooter, and then start the alert.
