To obtain a 529 Shield (sticker), please pre-register your bike by downloading the 529 app, using the app include a photo of you with the bike and a photo of the bike’s serial number, and bring your Smartphone with you to show the agent. You do not need to bring your bike to the station. You may experience a wait time during busier periods.

How to Report a Bike Theft

If your bike has been stolen, it's important to report it to the Ottawa Police Service after you send out the 529 Garage alert. If your bike is found by police you will need a report number before it can be released!

1 Start an alert on your bike/scooter on the 529 Garage website or app.

If you aren't registered yet - register first with all the information that you have about your bike/scooter, and then start the alert.
