Search works best when you separate out each tag you are searching for. For example, to search for a Black Trek 2.3, type
enter before typing
followed by enter, followed by
followed by enter, before hitting the search button. If a make or model name has two words, such as Santa Cruz, type
before hitting enter.
Less is More
There's no need to type in the whole word for your search tags. Typing
will return results for Specialized, and will more likely match any accidental misspellings in the stolen bike report. Similarly, when searching for a serial number, sometimes it's best to type just part of the serial number, and then manually browse any matching results.
Similarly, we recommend starting with a single tag (like the bike's make), and then adding more detail, such as color.
Stolen bikes often travel very far in a short amount of time, so try widening your search.
