In most cases, you would only be contacted by Arizona State University - Parking & Transportation Services if there is a question about your bike, registration or alert, or if your bike was found. You can also update these permissions in your user settings at any time.

529 Shield

The shield ID will be the 7 character (no numbers) code on the of your shield decal. If you don't have a 529 Shield, leave the field blank. If you get one later, you can add it to your bike registration.

How to register

1. Create an account with 529 Garage and select register your bike for free.
2. Bring your bicycle or scooter and ASU ID card to any bike valet station, have your serial number confirmed to receive your Shield ID sticker. Find bike valet locations and hours.

-Required: Revisit the 529 Garage website to add your Shield ID number to your bike registration information.

You will need to enter your bicycle or scooter's serial number. Some areas where a bicycle or scooter serial number is found:

Bikes:
    -On the seat tube, head tube or down tube 
    -Under the bottom bracket, it is stamped on the frame between the rear stay, often near or on the dropout
Scooters:
    - At the bottom of the scooter under the mainframe
    - On the motor or battery

How to Report a Bike Theft

If your bike is missing, it's important to report it to law enforcement - this helps the police better understand the scope of the problem. It will also be necessary for an insurance claim or to collect it from any law enforcement agency that recovers the bike. To report your bike, follow the steps below:

Start an alert on your bike/scooter on the 529 Garage website or app.

If aren't registered yet, you can register first with all the information that you have about your bike/scooter, and then start the alert.
