To obtain a 529 Shield (sticker), please pre-register your bike by downloading the 529 app, using the app include a photo of you with the bike and a photo of the bike’s serial number, and bring your Smartphone with you to show the agent. Enlist the community
If your bike is stolen, start an alert to let other bike owners know.
The Ottawa Police Service recover hundreds of bikes a year, but have very little information to discover who they belong to. By registering your bike, you'll help the police know it's your bike if it's ever found.
How to Report a Bike Theft
If your bike has been stolen, it's important to report it to the Ottawa Police Service after you send out the 529 Garage alert. If your bike is found by police you will need a report number before it can be released!
Start an alert on your bike on the 529 Garage website or app.
If your bike isn't registered, register it first with all the information that you have about your bike, and then start the alert.
