Your Bike Information

We believe adding a registration sticker ("shield") is a huge benefit. You can always purchase one at your local bike shop, but the city has purchased a number of these to distribute free of charge at any of the three police precincts. Just walk in and ask for a "bike registration kit". Not able to visit one of our precincts or many registration events around town? Drop us a line at BTTF@portlandoregon.gov

How to Report a Bike Theft

If your bike has been stolen, it's important to report it to law enforcement - this helps the police better understand the scope of the problem. It will also be necessary for an insurance claim or to collect it from any law enforcement agency that recovers the bike. To report your bike, follow the steps below:

Step 1

Start an alert on your bike on the 529 Garage website or app.
If your bike isn't registered, register it first with all the information that you have about your bike, and then start the alert.
