The 529 Shield sticker provides an additional unique identifier for your bike, making it easy for law enforcement and unknowing buyers trace it back to you if it is ever stolen. The 529 Shield also warns would-be bike thieves that your bike has a whole community looking out for it. How to Report a Bike Theft

If your bike is missing, it's important to report it to law enforcement - this helps the police better understand the scope of the problem. It will also be necessary for an insurance claim or to collect it from any law enforcement agency that recovers the bike. To report your bike, follow the steps below:

1 Start an alert on your bike/scooter on the 529 Garage website or app.

If you aren't registered yet - register first with all the information that you have about your bike/scooter, and then start the alert.
